Rebild is ideal for exploring by bike. The routes take you through a varied landscape of forests, lakes, streams, open fields and charming villages, with plenty of options for both short rides and longer cycling adventures.
Along the way, you will find many places worth stopping. Take a break by a forest lake, let the children play at a nature playground, enjoy a packed lunch by a public fire pit, or combine your bike ride with an overnight stay at a nature campsite or in a shelter.
Cycling routes in Rebild
You will find cycling routes from around 10 km and upwards, making it easy to choose between a short ride and a full day on the bike.
Several routes can be combined if you want to plan a full-day trip and experience even more of Rebild Bakker, Rold Skov and the surrounding countryside.
The routes vary in both length and terrain, so you can choose a ride that suits your level, pace and the amount of time you have available.

Practical information before your bike ride
Before setting off, it is a good idea to plan your route and check how long the ride is and what type of surface you can expect along the way.
Bring water, some food and clothing suitable for the weather. On longer rides, it can also be useful to carry a puncture repair kit, pump and a basic tool kit.
Remember to wear a cycling helmet, and make sure your bike is in good condition before you start. Check the brakes, tyres and chain in particular.
Be considerate of others you meet along the way, and be aware that some routes pass through areas shared with cars, pedestrians and other cyclists.

Would you like to experience Rebild by bike in a slightly different way? Hop on a tandem bike and explore the countryside together – with shared pedalling, good teamwork and plenty of fun along the way.
The tandem bike can be rented from the self-service station at Danhostel, right by Rebild Bakker and Rold Skov. From here, there are plenty of opportunities for a pleasant bike ride through the surrounding countryside.
