Rebild takes the next step towards becoming Denmark’s leading hiking destination.
In October 2026, RebildPorten will launch a full hiking month with more than 50 guided hikes and nature experiences, strengthening Rebild’s position as a hiking destination.

For the first time, RebildPorten is launching a full month of guided hiking experiences in October. More than 50 guided hikes and nature experiences are already on the programme, helping to strengthen Rebild’s position as one of Denmark’s strongest destinations for hiking.
In October, RebildPorten will bring together a full hiking month for the first time, with more than 50 guided hikes and nature experiences in one shared programme.
Previously, RebildPorten has invited visitors to both a hiking day and a hiking weekend. Now, the concept is being expanded into a full month with a programme for everyone.
The hiking month is part of RebildPorten’s long-term work to develop Rebild Municipality as a leading destination for hiking and active nature experiences. The ambition is to make it easy for visitors to find unique experiences in nature, while giving the area’s many skilled guides a shared platform to reach even more people.

Our role is to guide the guides. We listen to what visitors are looking for, develop new experiences together with the guides, and bring them together in a programme that shows the full range of what Rebild Municipality has to offer.Pernille Mulvad MøllerDestination Developer, RebildPorten
Behind the initiative is RebildPorten, where event coordinator and destination developer Pernille Mulvad Møller has been responsible for bringing the area’s many guides together in one shared effort.
“The guides are the experts out in nature – they create the experiences that guests take home with them. Our role is to guide the guides. We listen to what visitors are looking for, develop new experiences together with the guides, and bring them together in a programme that shows the full range of what Rebild Municipality has to offer.”
She emphasises that collaboration is the key to making a hiking month of this scale possible.
“Rebild has the natural surroundings to be one of Denmark’s best hiking destinations. Our task is to unlock that potential through strong outdoor experiences that encourage more people to choose Rebild. I knew the idea of a hiking month had potential, but it is the guides’ strong support and commitment that have made it possible to bring together more than 50 nature experiences,” says Pernille Mulvad Møller.
The hiking month will take place throughout October 2026. The full programme and registration information can be found at rebildporten.dk.
