Ravnkilde Church

Ravnkilde Church
Ravnkilde Church is an old village church with roots dating back to the 12th or 13th century.
Over time, the church has been closely connected to the landowners of Nørlund. In the 17th century, Gude Galle of Nørlund had a burial chapel built on the north side of the nave for himself and his family.
Some believe that the church may have been built on a pre-Christian religious site. In the churchyard, there is a burial mound where Hans Emil Bluhme, a former owner of Nørlund, also has his family burial site.
Today, a runestone stands on the mound. It was previously located by the church door. The inscription says that Asser Landbestyrer raised the stone in memory of Queen Asbod. However, it is not known whether the runestone and the burial mound are directly connected.
