Løvegårdens Landhandel
Løvegårdens Landhandel is located near Suldrup and is a farm shop with a focus on local produce, gluten-free specialities and products from the farm’s own animals. Here, you will find vegetables, meat products, eggs and delicacies such as jams, spices, drinks and much more.
All products in the shop are gluten-free. This includes both products that are naturally gluten-free and specialities such as bread, cakes, flour, pasta, beer, chocolate-covered marshmallow treats, chicken nuggets and cookies – both frozen products and dry goods.
Gluten-free farm shop
Løvegårdens Landhandel is an ideal stop for anyone looking for gluten-free products. The selection is wide and makes it easy to find both everyday basics and special treats.
The farm also grows its own vegetables, including potatoes, garlic, pumpkins, courgettes and beetroot. The vegetables are grown without pesticides or artificial fertilisers. To offer a wider selection, Løvegården also works with other local vegetable producers.
Meat from Mangalitza pigs and Boer goats
In the shop, you can buy meat products from the farm’s own Mangalitza pigs, also known as Hungarian woolly pigs. The pigs are known for their distinctive coat, which curls especially in winter and can resemble wool.
The pigs live in movable pig huts and are regularly moved to new areas with green grass and herbs. Here, they have plenty of space to run, play, dig and root in the soil.
You can also find goat meat from the farm’s Boer goats. The goats live on the surrounding meadows in movable huts, making it easy to move them from one enclosure to another. At the same time, they help with nature conservation by creating better conditions for varied vegetation and habitats for more animals and insects.
Grass eggs from “camping hens”
Løvegården also sells eggs from the farm’s “camping hens”. The hens live in a caravan – hence the name – surrounded by a movable, solar-powered electric fence.
This allows the hens to be moved to new areas with fresh greenery. The green grass, herbs and insects they eat give the egg yolks a deep yellow colour. On the farm, the eggs are therefore called “grass eggs”. The eggs vary in colour from dark and light brown shades to blue-green tones.
See the animals up close
From the car park by the farm shop, you can see the meadow with the goats, the field with the pigs and the caravan with the hens. If you would like to get closer to the animals, you need to book a guided tour or join a planned event with a tour.
