The story of Løvegården
Løvegården was started by Kristina and Martin and their four children. The family moved to the farm in November 2020, when the production of microgreens was already underway. The first animals arrived at the farm a few months later, and during the spring of 2021, the first vegetables were sown. At first, microgreens and other vegetables were sold from a roadside stall, but when the animals became large enough to be slaughtered, the farm shop was opened.
For a long time, the farm shop served as the physical gluten-free shop. A good selection of gluten-free speciality products was introduced, including bread, cakes, rolls, flour, corn flour, oat flour, almond flour, pasta, beer, chocolate, biscuits, cookies, layer cake bases, pulses, jam, fig jam, lemon curd, mustard, vinegar, cider, liquorice, wine gums, tea, coffee and sardines, as well as household products such as laundry fragrances and soap nuts. It was decided that all other products brought into the shop should also be gluten-free.
After a relatively short time, Kristina and Martin discovered that there was strong demand for a gluten-free shop, and the selection of gluten-free speciality products has continued to grow ever since. One year after the farm shop opened, a webshop was added, making it possible to buy the products online without being limited by the physical location.
This makes shopping at Løvegården particularly easy for children with coeliac disease and relatives of people with coeliac disease, as we check the ingredients before products are added to the shop.
In the summer of 2024, however, Løvegården experienced a small fire inside the farm shop, and everything was damaged by smoke and soot. As a result, the shop had to close, and all sales of gluten-free products have since taken place exclusively through their large webshop.
In 2026, Løvegården got new owners, Rikke and Henrik. Kristina is still part of the day-to-day operations, together with the rest of the Løvegården team.
Unfortunately, it is therefore no longer possible to visit the farm, except when collecting an order. Perhaps sometime in the future, they will consider whether reopening a physical shop could make sense. Follow updates on the website and on their social media channels.
