Høje Odde Observation Tower

Høje Odde Observation Tower, also known as Skovtårnet, is located in the Troldeskov area of Rebild National Park. Rising above the landscape and the treetops, the tower offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.

The tower was built in 1970 by civil engineer Bendt Zinck from Aalborg. It is 10 metres high and rests on impregnated timber posts set into a 1-metre-deep layer of concrete.

From the tower, you can look out over Stendalen and Rebild Bakker. On a clear day, the view reaches all the way to Top Karens Hus at the top of the hills.

As you climb the tower, you may notice that it moves slightly. This is completely normal and part of the tower’s construction. The movement allows the tower to move with the wind during storms, which is what makes it storm-secured. So if you feel it moving, there is no need to worry.
