Hærvejen Cycling Route – Rebild to Hobro

Experience Hærvejen by bike from Rebild to Hobro. This 36 km stage takes you from RebildPorten through Rebild Bakker, Rold Skov and the open landscapes of Himmerland, before continuing towards Mariagerfjord and Hobro.

The route starts at RebildPorten, an ideal place to find inspiration, take a break and get ready before continuing south along Hærvejen. From here, the route leads through the hilly landscape around Rebild Bakker and onwards into the deep Rold Skov, where forest roads, lakes and green surroundings create a scenic setting for your ride.

Along the way, you pass Store Økssø, a perfect place to stop for a break by the water. After this, the landscape opens up with fields, meadows and small villages, before the route approaches Hobro and Mariagerfjord.

The stage ends in Hobro, a welcoming market town by the fjord. Here, you can combine your cycling trip with a break by the harbour, a walk along the fjord or a visit to some of the area’s cultural and historical attractions.
