Galgebakken is a large, protected mound on the outskirts of Blenstrup. The mound is open to the public and is linked to the area’s history as an old assembly site.
According to local history, the last execution at Galgebakken is said to have taken place in the mid-18th century. Blenstrup also holds a special place in local Constitution Day history. As early as 1851, the first Constitution Day celebration was held here, before the celebrations were moved to Terndruplund in Terndrup two years later.
