Tough Trails – Fight the Hills 2026

Get ready for Tough Trails 2026 – a trail OCR event set in the raw and beautiful surroundings of Rebild Bakker. Expect an experience packed with challenges, high intensity and plenty of elevation. The first 75 tickets are sold at an EARLYBIRD price, so be quick!

The route features fun and challenging obstacles, with the level of difficulty made slightly more accessible than in previous years. You can still expect technical rigs, heavy carries and steep hills. Choose between 4 km, 8 km (2 laps) or a family route of approx. 3 km. The 4 km route includes approx. 200 metres of elevation gain. New this year, there will be an extra aid station with snacks and drinks – perfect for those taking on the DOUBLE FIGHT.

All participants receive professional chip timing, photos from photographers, a unique medal, as well as fruit and water in the finish area. In addition, 10% of the ticket price goes to Rebild Bakker.

3 km – Family Run

A fun and accessible route for the whole family with 20+ obstacles, many of which have both adult and child versions. We begin with a shared warm-up, and there will be prize draws and medals for both children and adults. Everyone can take part, but children under approx. 7 years may need help from an adult. Register 5 people together and receive a 15% discount.

4 and 8 km – Open Heat

The routes are open to everyone, and the goal is to make your way through a demanding and fun course at your own pace. The 8 km route consists of two laps. If you need support, you can choose the Assisted Heat, where you will receive guidance on the first lap. Group registration for 5 people gives a 15% discount. Participants must be 18 years old or have parental permission when collecting their race number.

Elite 8 km – including Master +40 and Junior

The elite participants start in smaller groups to avoid queues, and winners are determined by chip time.

Elite Master +40: Same conditions as the elite category, but with a separate podium.

Elite Junior (13–17 years): Lighter scaling on heavy obstacles and a separate prize ceremony. The Junior Heat is DKK 100 cheaper than the other elite heats.

For spectators

Tough Trails is very spectator-friendly – you can see the participants several times directly from the event area. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and the atmosphere is usually excellent.
