We look forward to welcoming the registered participants to an exciting race day in the nature surrounding Rebild National Park and Thingbæk Limestone Mines.
Program and practical information
Rebild Kalkmineløb is a unique recreational race with different distances through the special natural surroundings of Rebild National Park. The drinking water comes from the purest springs, and all routes pass through the illuminated Thingbæk Limestone Mines.
The event starts on Saturday 19 September 2026 at 09:00.
Friday 18 September 2026
- 16:00–19:00: Collection of race bibs.
Saturday 19 September 2026
- 09:00–10:30: Collection of race bibs. Please arrive in good time to collect your race bib, prepare for the day, park your car and find your spot near the start portal before the race begins.
- 10:45: Be ready for practical information before the race at the start and finish portal.
- 11:00–11:30: Race start. Participants will be sent off in groups, with the longest routes starting first, to ensure a safe and exciting experience for everyone.
Aid stations along the routes
There will be staffed aid stations along the routes with cold drinks, snacks and refreshments.
Distances
This year’s Kalkmineløb includes one stroller-friendly route of 3 km.
The remaining routes are 5 km, 10.5 km and 21.1 km. Timing chips will be used for runners taking part in the 10.5 km and 21.1 km distances.
Start/finish area
The start and finish are at Rebildcentret with Thingbæk Limestone Mines.
After the race, you are welcome to stay in the area with your own blankets or similar in the green outdoor areas.
With a race bib for this year’s Kalkmineløb, you have access all day to Rebildcentret, including the welcome building, the exhibition building, “Kildetårnet”, the outdoor areas and, of course, Thingbæk Limestone Mines.
Food and medals
In the spirit of sustainability and to reduce resource waste, food and medals are available as optional add-ons.
- A delicious sandwich, prepared in the start and finish area on the day: DKK 65.
- A beautiful medal: DKK 40.
