Owl walk – a refreshing walk in the dark

Join us for an evening walk with the birds of the night and the sounds of darkness.

Most people know about owls, and many have heard a little about them — but not everyone has seen an owl or heard one call in the night.

On this walk in Vælderskoven, we will move quietly through the darkness and listen for the owls calling. We may also be lucky enough to see an owl or a bat fly past. Along the way, you will hear stories about the life of owls and the different owl species typically found around Rold Forest.

As always in nature, there is no guarantee that we will experience what we hope for — in this case, owls. However, in the area where we will be walking, we have previously heard three different owl species calling on our tours.

The walk ends with a cup of coffee and biscuits while we listen for the final sounds of the owls.
